Our Beneficiaries
The Dallas Stair Climb is first and foremost a memorial event to pay tribute to fallen first responders. However, an organization that serves first responders and/or their families in the North Central Texas region is chosen as an annual beneficiary. Funds raised during the Brotherhood Bash are donated to that organization to support their mission to serve local responders.
Climbers are not required to do any fundraising to participate in this event. If a climber chooses to do so, funds can be raised to support the beneficiary chosen each by the Dallas 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb.
The 2026 beneficiary is:
Hearts and Helmets
Hearts and Helmets is a local nonprofit based in Sachse, TX with a mission to support first responder and healthcare families navigating cancer with a special focus on their children so that no child faces this journey alone. This organization was founded by a local firefighter and an ER Nurse who battled a cancer diagnosis and saw firsthand the limited resources available to their daughter. Through donations and partnerships, Hearts and Helmets provides events and resources for first responder families navigating cancer—especially the resilient and inspiring children who navigate the challenges of cancer either themselves or that of a loved one in their family.

Following our climb, we ask that our beneficiaries send us a letter outlining the amount received from our event and what they have used or intend on using the funds for. Click on the beneficiary name under each year to view their letter.
